Miller, Mandeep pull off thrilling win

Mandeep Singh scored the first fifty of the season for his team

What a blinder of a knock from David Miller. The game looked to be firmly in Pune's hand when Gilchrist and Mahmood departed cheaply. However, Punjab rebuilt the innings thanks to a 53 run stand between Manan Vohra and Mandeep Singh. Mandeep was the peg around which the entire innings revolved but David Miller changed the complexion of the match with some big blows. The 128 run stand was dominated by Miller as he struck his first Indian T20 League fifty. Miller sealed the deal with two big sixes in the final over bowled by Luke Wright as Punjab sealed a thrilling win with three wickets. Pune will be devastated after this loss, after having posted their third highest total ever in this league.
